By aging this shochu it provides a complex and savory nose with a balanced oak presence that brings a hint of spiciness on the spirit. iichiko SPECIAL is subtle and smooth on the palate, with a roundness that reveals long-lasting chocolate notes for a powerful finish.

Shochu is the native spirit of Japan—a white spirit that offers an incredibly rich flavor, a light structure, and a smooth finish. lichiko Shochu is made from 100% barley and crafted in the Oita Prefecture—a region famous for its dense cedar forest, mountainous terrain, and geothermal springs. lichiko uses exceptionally soft, iron free water that is naturally filtered through 1000 feet of volcanic rock. lichiko, pronounced EACH-ko, translates to "it's great" in local dialect.

iichiko shochu is an iconic brand selling more than 8 million cases in Japan. The highly popular bottles and label are a premium staple available in every Asian restaurant. Its success comes from its easy pairing with a wide range of Asian cuisines.

Team Wuko carefully packs every sake bottle for your enjoyment. If you are dissatisfied with the quality or your order arrives damaged, please contact us for assistance within 3 days at hi@wuko.co. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
